Tulagi: South Pacific

Stop the enemy from taking control of Tulagi and building a seaplane base.

In Tulagi, your base is positioned to the left of the map, with a pair of paths curving out of it: one short and to the north, the other longer and curving around the south before heading northeast. You will only be attacked by ground units along the single, longer path; however, you will face some sneak attacks from other directions. The two allied-looking tanks near your base are just for show.

This guide will cover how to get a Full House, which is a perfect round with all medals and 20 victory points, on the Tulagi level of the iBomber Defense Pacific campaign, played on Veteran difficulty. In addition, this mission guide will cover the secondary objective and hidden target along with a walkthrough video.

Secondary Objective

Destroy enemy headquarters.

In this level, there will be an enemy base to the right of yours, on the opposite side of the main wave path from where you can place your turrets, that you will need to destroy for this secondary objective. All in all, it should only take 3 well-placed bombs to eliminate the base and satisfy the objectives. Keep in mind, the base is made up of the entire cluster of buildings, not just the main facility itself.

Supply Crates: 4

Victory Points Spent: 100

  • Machine Gun lvl 3
    X2 Power vs Flamed Specialization
  • Cannon lvl 3
  • Bomb lvl 2

Perks used for this mission:

  • Greenback I
  • Eagle Eye I

At this point, for your first choice of perk, picking the Greenback cash bonus is still pretty invaluable. Meanwhile, the increased aim speed for turrets from the Eagle Eye perk will help when dealing with sneak attacks that will try to distract your turrets.

Hidden Target

The hidden target is out in the open here in Tulagi; it’s the single hut that stands in the middle of the large green field just to the right of your base. Eventually, some units will sneak attack here, which means an opportunity for a 2 for 1 special.

Turret Placement

Turret placement for this level is rather straightforward and limited, focusing mainly on establishing a cluster of Cannons and Machine Guns supported by some flame turrets (evenly spaced out for the best coverage) along the elevated ridge on the opposite side of the enemy base along the main path. A single bomb turret, upgraded throughout the mission and placed by your base, should be enough to provide you with plenty of ordnance for hitting the secret target, hitting the enemy base, and helping open up the crates in Tulagi. Eventually, towards the second half of the level, it will be beneficial to give the Bomb turret a partner.

Besides working on spending your money on the aforementioned mix of turrets on the elevated ridge, placing a single Machine Gun in the open square to the bottom left of the supply crate right near your base will serve as a good backup defense for any potential stragglers that make it through. It will also break open said supply crate and destroy a sneak-attacking tanking.
